Join Romero Games as we develop John Romero’s next First Person Shooter in partnership with a major publisher! This is an unprecedented opportunity to join a thriving independent development studio and work on a high-profile title that will be played by millions of gamers worldwide.

Romero Games is looking for a Producer to join our growing team on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for helping deliver internally-developed games on time and within budget, working alongside the Lead Producer and Game/Discipline Directors & Leads.

The Producer knows their game by heart, not only playing as part of the weekly routine, but knowing the road ahead for its development and deadlines. Furthermore, the Producer handles organization of the project and staff planning in terms of competence, effort, and creating the schedule for everyday work.

This position is open in our office in Galway, Ireland, a relocation package is available.

What you will do:

  • Owning areas of development, working closely with stakeholders such as the Lead Producer and Game Director for game quality targets and a Tech Lead for technical quality

  • Making sure the team is continuing to move forward, while working efficiently to reach milestones and key gates

  • Managing Risk (assessment/mitigation/communication)

  • Having an attention to detail, helping the team deliver on time, budget and scope

  • Pro-actively coordinating with other producers and stakeholders such as a publisher’s producers, outsourcing partners, etc.

  • Project planning and tracking progress

  • Building & maintaining efficient workflows with internal development teams both on-site and remote.

  • Nurturing healthy relationships across the entire project.

What you need to have:

  • At least 3 years of relevant games industry experience

  • Experience working in a Production/Project Management role on Live or released titles

  • Experience with agile methodologies

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

What is nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Atlassian product suite will be considered an advantage

  • SCRUM Certifications

  • Experience working with external teams, i.e. QA teams, Localization, are a bonus
