Location: Flexible (with the ability to work remotely and/or work from our studio in Farnham)

Type of Position: Contract (7 months)

About The Project:

We are embarking on the production of an animated series pilot that aims to blend innovative storytelling with cutting-edge animation techniques. Our objective is to deliver a pilot that not only captures the imagination of viewers and industry stakeholders but also lays the groundwork for a successful series commission. We are seeking a Producer who combines strategic project management with a passion for animation, capable of steering this project from concept through to completion.

Job Summary:

The Producer will be the driving force behind the pilot, responsible for managing all aspects of its production. This includes budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating between creative teams, as well as ensuring the project stays aligned with its creative vision and objectives. The role demands a balance of creative insight, financial acumen, and leadership, providing a unique opportunity to shape the direction of a potentially groundbreaking series.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the pilot's production schedule and budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to timelines.

  • Work closely with the Director to fulfill the project's creative vision, facilitating collaboration among the creative team.

  • Coordinate with the Art Director and Technical Director to ensure the visual and technical production aspects are executed to the highest standards.

  • Oversee the selection and management of the production team, including animators, voice actors, and post-production staff.

  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors, freelancers, and any other external partners.

  • Monitor and report on the project's progress to stakeholders, implementing adjustments as necessary to address challenges or capitalize on opportunities.

  • Ensure the final product meets or exceeds quality expectations and is delivered on time and within budget.

  • Lead post-production efforts, overseeing editing, sound design, and any other processes required to achieve a polished final pilot.

  • Represent the project and studio in meetings with broadcasters, distributors, and other potential partners.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Producer or similar leadership role in the animation or film industry, with a track record of managing successful projects.

  • Strong understanding of the animation production process, including both creative and technical elements.

  • Excellent organizational, budgeting, and project management skills.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

  • Creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability to change.

  • Effective communication skills, capable of negotiating and building strong professional relationships.

  • Proficient with project management software and tools.

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Film, Business, Animation, or a related field.
