As a Product Design Engineer Intern, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of electronics at Google. Must have:
  • Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Product Design, or related technical field
  • Experience with product design or CAD tools like PTC Creo, ProE, or Unigraphics NX
  • Experience with mechanical simulation tools
  • Available to work full time for 12 weeks outside of university term time
Good to have:
  • Experience with Unigraphics NX/Teamcenter
  • Proficiency in CAD, tolerance analysis, and structural finite element analysis
  • Familiarity with mechanical design of plastic and metal components, printed circuit boards (PCB) and flexible printed circuits (FPC), and acoustics
  • Familiarity with electromechanical assemblies, manufacturing techniques, fabrication techniques, and rapid prototyping

Minimum qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Product Design, or a related technical field.
  • Internship experience, work experience, educational, or personal project experience with product design, or with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., PTC Creo, ProE, or Unigraphics NX) and mechanical simulation tools.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Currently attending a degree program in the US and available to work full time for 12 weeks outside of university term time.
  • In their penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship.
  • Experience with Unigraphics NX/Teamcenter with proficiency in CAD, tolerance analysis, and structural finite element analysis.
  • Familiarity with mechanical design of plastic and metal components, printed circuit boards (PCB) and flexible printed circuits (FPC), and acoustics used in consumer electronic products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $79,500-$106,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
