Job Description

ByteDance is seeking talented Product Design Managers to join its growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire product design process, from exploration and concept definition to prototyping and launch. You will work closely with product managers, researchers, UX writers, and engineers to ensure that the user experience is meaningful and high-quality. You will also utilize qualitative and quantitative methods for user research, including A/B testing frameworks, to optimize product design and user engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design principles and methodologies, as well as experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Must have:

Master's degree in related field and 3 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience
3 years of experience designing UX/UI for mobile applications
3 years of experience in video production using Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D
3 years of experience coordinating design team projects throughout the design lifecycle

Responsibilities Execute product design from exploration, concept definition, design, prototype, and the launch of the product with product managers, researchers, UX writers, and engineers. Create user flows, prototypes, and high fidelity designs that provide multiple solutions based on user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. Work on design from strategy to launch, ensuring meaningful and quality experiences. Use qualitative and quantitative methods for user research, including A/B testing frameworks. Review product releases qualitatively and work with engineering in handoff phases through pre and post launch. Lead design workshops and sprints with cross-functional teams to explore innovative solutions for problems and opportunities identified through research and data. Contribute to feature roadmap strategies, improve product design processes, and champion knowledge sharing opportunities through documentation and post-launch presentations.

Qualifications

Qualifications Must have a Master's degree in Fine Arts, Art and Design, Digital Arts, Graphic Design, Computer Art, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art and Design, Digital Arts, Graphic Design, Computer Art, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: Designing User Experience and User Interface elements of mobile applications using Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Origami Studio, and Principle; Video production using Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D; and Coordinating design team projects responsibilities throughout the full design project lifecycle. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $172800 - $318960 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
