Job Title: Product Designer
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Falls Church, VA or remote within the U.S. (no California, Hawaii or Alaska)
The Role: We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled, and independent Product Designer to join our team to champion the implementation and delivery of UX/UI best practices. Enjoys working on large scale projects that focus on the product as a whole instead of specific elements. We value design, usability, and authenticity. We need your help to create clean and well-designed products for our projects. This role is going to be a key player in our product team, work highly cross-functional, and be accountable for all design activities.

Position Summary:
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Collaborate with the Development Team and Business Analyst to develop user flows, wireframes, mockups, and final designs that meet the business objectives of the organization, advance our brand strategy, and reflect best practices
- Work with GIS Specialists and Content Editors to provide UI artwork for articles, maps, banners, diagrams, etc.
- Plan and co-facilitate workshops internally and externally. Manage approaches that identify and solve complex problems.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on UX and UI design concepts through an innate capacity for creating engaging, highly usable designs and layouts.
- Design, optimize and deliver useful and elegant best-in-class digital experiences working from a multidisciplinary, holistic perspective from concept to execution and implementation
- Constantly measure how designs are performing for target customers; iterate and improve those experiences as needed
- Coordinate user testing efforts, interpret test results, and incorporate results into design efforts.
- Understand technical constraints, user goals and business requirements that shape current and future workplace productivity-related services.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in UX design
- Experience in the full design lifecycle and working on large scale projects
- Expert knowledge in UX/UI processed and ability to champion the process
- Able to work independently as a one person design team
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS and JavaScript for purposes of designing interfaces
- Experience styling and branding websites, including color, layout, art, and imagery
- Skilled in Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality
- US citizenship
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
Highly Desirable Qualifications:
- Extremely skilled in Figma implementation and best practices
- Worked closely with a product manager and client success team
- Ability to implement designs in HTML/CSS/JavaScript is a plus
- Experience in working with the US Government is a plus
Education/Experience:
- 4-6 years of web design experience
- Graduate degree preferred
