Job Description

This internship involves transferring GPU gaming and compute products from design to mass production. Responsibilities include architecting and implementing efficient manufacturing test processes for GPU chips, improving manufacturing efficiency, analyzing yield limiters, resolving ATE failures, defining product test requirements, and driving NPI bring-up and validation. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance test coverage. Data analysis to correlate customer failures with production data is also crucial.
Must have:
  • Master's degree in EE/CE/Physics
  • ATE testing knowledge
  • DFT methodology understanding
  • CMOS device physics knowledge
  • Problem-solving and communication skills
Good to have:
  • DFT insertion techniques (SCAN, ATPG, MBIST, IOBIST)
  • Data evaluation and experimental work passion
  • Python/Perl scripting experience

Job Details

We are now looking for a Product Development Engineer (RDSS Intern) in Hsinchu. NVIDIA has continuously reinvented itself over two decades. You will be exposed to various aspects of building and testing NVIDIA products, from GPUs to assembled boards. In addition, your responsibilities will be to increase yields, test coverage and capacity, and reduce production costs. What you'll be doing:

  • As part of Operations Engineering team that plays a key role in developing new GPU products, you will architect, design, and implement efficient manufacturing test processes for our state of the art GPU chips

  • Identify and implement test processes to improve manufacturing efficiency for our latest GPU architectures, built in leading-edge process technology

  • Analyze product yield limiters and drive resolution of failures on Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) while leading multi-functional efforts with design, foundry, quality, test to root-cause problems and implement improvements

  • Define product test requirements and drive NPI bring up, validation, and characterization for smooth production ramp at worldwide manufacturing sites as you continuously find opportunities for potential process improvements and collaborate with multi-functional teams to implement

  • Influence and optimize the accurate placement of test coverage across our test and supply chain to reduce cost and production waste. Lead detailed data analysis methods to correlate customer failures with internal production data to help understand root cause, risk, and exposure

What we need to see:

  • Master or above degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering /Physics.

  • Willing to learn and engage in post-silicon characterization, correlation, qualification and debug.

  • Good knowledge in the area of ATE testing, DFT methodology, cmos device physics.

  • Strength presenting & communicate to technical audiences and methodical problem-solving with critical thinking, solution focused and attention to detail.

  • Highly motivated with strong sense of ownership, have excellent interpersonal skills, and high sense of team-work with intellectual honesty.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Understanding of DFT insertion techniques including SCAN, ATPG, MBIST and IOBIST.

  • Passionate about experimental work and data evaluation, hunger to get to the bottom of understanding where models fall short in the real world.

  • Good communication skills in English.

  • Detail oriented, reliable, Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.

  • Experience with scripting languages in one or more of Python, Perl.
