As a Product Industrialization Engineer, you will play a key role in introducing new products by transferring them from R&D to Manufacturing. Your responsibilities include developing processes, integrating designs for lean manufacturing, managing the release of manufacturing data, overseeing processes to ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinating prototype runs. You will also be responsible for solving diverse product industrialization challenges. You will be required to develop and implement process verification/validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) in accordance with QMS requirements.

  • 2+ years experience with relevant degree OR Master's Degree
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in related fields
  • Familiarity with quality management systems
  • Proficiency in Master Data Management tools

Job Description

Product Industrialization Engineer
As a Product Industrialization Engineer, you play a key role in the introduction of new products. You are responsible for the transfer of NPI products from R&D and other innovation hubs to Manufacturing.

Your role:
  • Implements process development activities tailored for mid-complexity projects to streamline procedures, enhance efficiencies, and ensure optimal outcomes within project scope.
  • Introduces Design for Lean Manufacturing (DFLM) methodologies into Product Development Lifecycle Management (PDLM) processes, focusing on mid-complexity projects to integrate designs and streamline production workflows.
  • Leads the timely release of Manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) and routes Master data, facilitating product specification integration and efficient execution of manufacturing processes.
  • Oversees complex processes to ensure strict adherence to safety, regulatory, and environmental standards, while tackling diverse product industrialization challenges through innovative problem-solving and lean manufacturing principles, and develops and implements process verification/validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) in accordance with QMS requirements.
  • Coordinate prototype runs, pilot runs, production ramp-up, and equipment qualification.

You're the right fit if:
  • Minimum +2 years of experience with Bachelor's in areas such as Manufacturing/Operations environment, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Production Engineering, or Cost Engineering or equivalent OR no prior experience required with Master's Degree
  • You have a Bachelor's / Master's degree in mechanical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Sciences, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. Preferred to have a Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent certification
  • Your skills include familiarity with quality management systems and proficiency in Master Data Management tools like eDMR, SAP, and Windchill.
  • You are a professional with strong communication, analytical and project management oriented skills that is open to travel nationally up to 10% of the time in role.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

How we work together


We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an on-site role.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in Murrysville, PA is $ 93,750.00 to $ 150,000.00

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.   

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found here

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Murrysville, PA
