Position Overview 

Autodesk is searching for a Product Manager who is passionate about bridging data management practices with the cloud-based workflows of the future. In this role, you will collaborate and gather requirements, recommend core product enhancements, and develop technology solutions that address stakeholder needs and align with strategic priorities. 

Autodesk Desktop Connector is critical to the success of the Autodesk Platform and a foundational ingredient in every productivity experience built in the Autodesk Cloud. Desktop Connector enables our customers to design and make the world around us by making it easy to store, manage, and access data in the cloud using any desktop application. 

As a product manager of Autodesk Desktop Connector, you will focus on providing our customers with a best-in-class sync & data access experience between desktop applications and our industry clouds. In addition to working closely with our customers, you will have the unique challenge of improving end-to-end solutions between desktop applications and the Autodesk Platform.

  • AMER – United States - Michigan - Novi 

  • AMER Canada Ontario - Toronto 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Imagine, design, and drive a rapid roadmap of improvements that guide the team towards new use cases and next generation experiences, to tackle user pain points and generate customer delight

  • Communicate effectively with customers, partners, and executives to deeply understand requirements and provide them with updates on the product roadmap as well as collect actionable feedback

  • Engage with customers through activities such as beta programs, customer councils, executive briefings, and industry events

  • Closely partner with the Desktop Connector engineering team to land key product capabilities and business goals

  • Collaborate directly with Autodesk design application teams (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Inventor, Revit, etc.) as well as the industry cloud teams (Fusion & Forma) to ensure seamless accessibility and enhanced data workflows

  • Proactively identify critical risks to the product and mitigate those risks by working in a cross functional environment 

  • Manage analytics that track the performance of the product capabilities to optimize the product functionality against our goals

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of Product Management experience 

  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and drive teams toward execution

  • Ability to break down complex problems into user-focused solutions 

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 

  • Strong project and time management skills 

  • Awareness of Scrum/Agile methodologies 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Previous experience with file/folder sync solutions (OneDrive, Box, Dropbox, Google Drive) 

  • Experience and working knowledge with Autodesk Design applications (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Inventor, Revit, etc.) and the importance of the file references between them. 

  • Familiarity with cloud computing and the way distributive systems interact

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $105,800 and $182,600. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
