Job Description

The Product Manager will define product goals, plan roadmap execution, and lead a cross-functional agile team. Responsibilities include managing feature backlogs, product documentation, reviewing development, and conducting data research. The role involves coordinating with data partners and clients, communicating updates, and improving the data admin system. The candidate will work on data-related updates for WebMD Physician directories and ensure releases meet goals and objectives. They must have a keen interest in market trends and emerging technologies.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, or related field
Experience: 4+ years

Position Requirement:

  • 3 + years’ experience in digital product management and development including gathering and documenting product requirements for development teams inclusive of business rationale, user needs and functional specifications
  • Up-to-date understanding of market trends and keen interest in following emerging technologies
  • Previous experience working with data teams and data management systems
  • Proficiency in agile project management software (JIRA, Confluence) and methodologies is necessary
  • Experience reviewing development work including checking metrics and network calls, as well as comparing UI/UX updates to original specifications
  • Expert organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make quick decisions and thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics (Omniture), Google Search Console, and data metrics analysis is a plus
  • Experience working with health or wellness/lifestyle brands and/or consumer-facing publishing sites is a plus.

Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Work with the senior product team to define product goals and plan roadmap execution for data-related updates for the WebMD Physician directories
  • Lead a cross-functional, agile team throughout the product lifecycle to ensure releases meet goals and objectives
  • Manage feature backlogs and product documentation such as user stories, use cases, user flows, logic flows, and functional specifications
  • Review in-process development and report on defects or missed requirements
  • Conduct data research to help assess KPI performance for key initiatives and paid programs, including updating regular reports
  • Develop improvements for the data admin system and automated reporting
  • Coordinate with third party data partners and clients to ensure proper setup of integrations and client data flows
  • Communicate across teams to share status and other updates
