Product Manager, Customer Data Platform

Team Description:

PlayStation’s Customer Data Platform Team is part of the Data Organization at PlayStation. The team is responsible for the platform used across the organization for user and device based personalization.

Our mission is to enable internal and external teams to meet their business outcomes by making it easy to connect with the right users, across the PlayStation ecosystem and beyond, while being privacy-compliant.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Product Manager to build the future of the customer data platform at PlayStation and be responsible for the platform’s product vision and strategy in addition to driving end-to-end product development. They will work closely alongside other product/engineering/data/business leaders in improving our ability to drive business outcomes via personalization. This is a high impact role that demonstrates strong technical and business skills to deliver innovative features for our customers and partners.

This Product Manager will be responsible for defining requirements and working with partner in setting the direction for the platform, with a view to decrease time to value from our data. The ideal candidate is a Product Management professional who brings innovative products to the market and has the technical background vital to partner with a variety of product, engineering and business teams.

You Will

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap of features to for the team and alignment with business goals
  • Develop and promote the future vision of CDP across the PlayStation community
  • Define success metrics and SLAs for the key products and services
  • Prioritize requests from diverse customers to inform and realize that vision
  • Gather user feedback and usage data to understand business goals, validate product assumptions, and communicate requirements
  • Collaborate with engineers to define scope and maintain a balance between velocity and quality of new features
  • Proactively provide customer and business context to engineering teams

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (computer science, mathematics, statistics, etc.) or 3-5 years related experience and/or training;
  • 2+ years of experience in product management
  • Proven track record to build a product roadmap that balances short-term goals and long-term vision
  • A healthy blend of technical depth and deep domain expertise with a customer-focused approach
  • Excellent communicator able to articulate the value of data techniques to customers across the organization
  • Experience in working with a wide array of partners across organizations, including engineering, product management, project management, business groups
  • Strategic problem solver who can connect customer use cases to technology solutions and think holistically about the end-to-end experience

Nice to have:

  • Have built Data Products for large organizations
  • Have experience building and scaling customer facing applications

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$141,700 - $212,500 USD
