Job Description

Netflix seeks a Product Manager for Modeling & Optimization in their Ads Platform team. This role involves owning the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for science-driven improvements to maximize advertiser ROI. Responsibilities include collaborating with data science and engineering teams to integrate machine learning models into ad-decisioning, employing agile methodologies for rapid experimentation and iteration, and working cross-functionally with sales, ad operations, marketing, and legal teams. The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of product management experience, a deep understanding of advertising ecosystems (CTV experience preferred), familiarity with machine learning and A/B testing, and strong cross-functional leadership skills.

Our Team:

The Ads Platform team builds the advertising systems and integrations that power the delivery of ads using our world class content delivery ecosystem. We deliver ads in a manner that’s thoughtful of our members’ viewing experience and drives great outcomes for advertisers. 

Our team is new and yet faced with the ambitions of building highly performant advertising systems and delivering high impact to our business by monetizing our incredible slate of content. As one of the newest entrants in the Connected TV advertising space that’s rapidly growing, we seek to build unique value propositions that differentiate Netflix from other ad-supported streaming services.

We are looking for a Product Manager in the advertising space who is excited to join us on this journey.

About the Role:

This PM will be responsible for performance optimization and modeling on our Ads platform. In this role they will:

  • Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for science and data-driven improvements to increase advertiser ROI.

  • Work with data science and engineering teams to incorporate advanced machine learning models and other scientific techniques  in ads-decisioning, with quantifiable impact on the business.

  • Operate with an agile, iterative mindset and use rapid experimentation to prototype, test and  improve our product offering.

  • Bring strong business judgment to our data science roadmap, balancing speed and scientific rigor.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in sales, ad operations, marketing, strategy, policy, and legal to bring products to market and increase adoption.

We’re seeking a candidate who has:

  • 7+ years of Product Management experience with a proven record of scaling new businesses and delivering science-driven performance improvements.

  • A thorough understanding of advertising ecosystems and platforms, CTV experience is a plus. 

  • Familiarity with machine learning, statistical methods and A/B experimentation.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Has experience collaborating with data science, engineering, design, and business teams. 

  • A track record of analyzing customer feedback, market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for product innovation.

  • A curious mindset and a willingness to adapt and adjust in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $240,000 - $725,000.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
