Description

The Production Coordinator for Feature Animation plays a vital role in the organization and coordination of various aspects of the animation production process. Working closely with producers, directors, and other members of the production team, the Production Coordinator ensures that projects progress smoothly, deadlines are met, and communication flows effectively within the team.

Work from office in Mumbai - Monday to Friday

Requirements

  • Project Management: Coordinate and track the progress of animation projects from pre-production to post-production stages. Ensure that production schedules are maintained, and deadlines are met.
  • Communication: Serve as a central point of contact for the production team, facilitating effective communication between different departments such as animation, art, story, and technology. Distribute information, updates, and feedback as necessary.
  • Resource Management: Assist in resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and facilities, to support production needs. Coordinate with department heads to ensure that resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date production documentation, including schedules, budgets, and project status reports. Organize and archive files and assets for easy access and reference.
  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize production meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting room setup, and distribution of minutes. Ensure that key decisions and action items are documented and followed up on.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential issues or bottlenecks in the production process and work proactively to resolve them. Collaborate with the production team to find creative solutions to challenges as they arise.
  • Quality Control: Assist in quality assurance processes to ensure that animation assets meet the required standards of quality and consistency. Coordinate feedback loops between creative leads and production teams to address any issues.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors, including animation studios, freelancers, and post-production facilities, to coordinate work and deliverables as needed. Maintain positive relationships and ensure that contractual obligations are fulfilled.
  • Continual Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in animation production coordination. Identify opportunities for process improvements and workflow optimization within the production pipeline.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a production coordinator in feature animation or a related industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in production management software and tools such as Shotgun, Microsoft Excel, and Google Docs.
  • Familiarity with the animation production pipeline and workflow, including knowledge of 3D animation processes
  • Experience in handling Compositing and lighting teams.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic production environment.
