As a Cinematic Production Manager at Invoke, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and execution of cinematic sequences for their AAA video game. You will work closely with various teams, including creative, technical, and project management, to ensure the smooth development and integration of story-driven cinematics that enhance the gaming experience. Your responsibilities include defining needs, phases, schedules, and technical specifications for cinematic development, developing and maintaining production schedules, managing and tracking task progress, ensuring adherence to the cinematic pipeline, facilitating communication between teams, and managing deliverables to motion capture partners.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of project management experience in the video game industry, focusing on cinematics and animation
  • Familiarity with various project management methodologies and game development pipeline
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to different situations
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in problem-solving with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Strong project management skills
  • Team player who proactively facilitates communication
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English

Job Description 

 

Invoke is looking for a Cinematic Production Manager to support the production and execution of cinematic sequences for our AAA video game. This role involves close collaboration with creative, technical, and project management teams to ensure the seamless development and integration of story-driven cinematics that support the gaming experience. The Cinematic Production Manager will help to oversee the workflow, scheduling and deliverables of all cinematic assets, from pre-production to final delivery.  

 

What a Cinematic Production Manager does at Invoke

  

  • Partner with leads from other departments to define the needs, phases, schedules, priorities, dependencies, and technical specs that bring efficiency, continuity, and clarity to our cinematic development   

  • Develops and maintains cinematic production schedules, ensuring that all milestones, deadlines and quality standards are met by the team  

  • Manages and tracks progress of tasks and deliverables, providing regular updates to the leads and the team members 

  • Ensures the steps of the cinematic pipeline are followed, schedules review meetings and confirms approvals before moving on to the next tasks   

  • Facilitates communication between teams to resolve issues and keep the production on track, ensuring all steps, requests, and approvals plus validations of the cinematic Jira pipeline are managed   

  • Manages the deliverables to mocap partners, assisting in the scheduling and booking of casting sessions, mocap facilities, actors, rehearsals, and table reads 

  • Schedules and manages the script/animatic breakdowns with other departments and converts them into the Jira pipeline 

 

What You’ll Bring 

 

  • 3 years of project management experience in the video game industry, with a focus on cinematics, animation 

  • Familiarity with a variety of project management methodologies and game development pipeline  

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills  

  • Flexibility to adapt to a range of situations   

  • Detail-oriented and great at problem-solving with a proactive, solutions-focused approach 

  • Strong project management skills  

  • A team player who is proactive in facilitating communication  

  • Excellent communication skills in French and English.
