The Reverse Logistics Supervisor will lead day-to-day operations within the Reverse Logistics department, including Returns, Reconditioning, Kitting/Dekitting, and the Open Box Program. Responsibilities include managing processes, ensuring efficiency and safety, and maintaining alignment with company standards for quality and customer satisfaction. The supervisor will work closely with cross-functional teams, manage inventory, and support continuous improvement. Key tasks involve leading employees, supervising the Open Box Program, managing SAP inventory, assigning daily tasks, ensuring safety, utilizing RF guns, conducting quality checks, monitoring inventory levels, responding to customer issues, participating in project management, and holding team members accountable.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:  

The Reverse Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day operations across multiple functions within the Reverse Logistics department, including Returns, Reconditioning, Kitting/Dekitting, and the Open Box Program. This role ensures all processes run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company standards for quality, performance, and customer satisfaction. The Supervisor works closely with cross-functional teams and service providers to manage workload, maintain accurate inventory, and support continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities: 
•    Lead and direct employees through full-cycle reverse logistics operations: receiving returned products, processing, testing/reworking, kitting/dekitting, labeling, and preparing items for resale or disposition.
•    Supervise the Open Box Program, ensuring products are accurately inspected, graded, and prepared for resale at the appropriate discount.
•    Manage SAP inventory movements and maintain accurate records for all areas under the reverse logistics umbrella.
•    Spend approximately 85% of the time on the production floor, supporting team members, building relationships, providing coaching, and offering real-time performance feedback.
•    Assign daily tasks based on individual skills and workload priorities across Returns, Reconditioning, Kitting/Dekitting, and Open Box activities.
•    Ensure safety standards are followed, including hazardous materials handling and lift truck operation guidelines.
•    Utilize RF guns and scanning tools to optimize tracking, accuracy, and efficiency.
•    Conduct quality checks at each stage of reconditioning, testing, and packing to maintain product integrity.
•    Monitor part inventory levels and productivity metrics, adjusting resources as needed.
•    Respond to customer complaints or issues involving reconditioned and returned products with professionalism and resolution-focused communication.
•    Participate in project management by supplying data and supporting documentation as needed.
•    Hold team members accountable for meeting performance and attendance expectations.
•    Conduct interviews to fill open positions and support training and onboarding of new team members.


Key Responsibilities Cont.: 

•    Maintain clear communication with Human Resources on projected openings, employee challenges, or policy violations. 
•    Operating and Training of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) equipment (Forklift, Pallet Jacks, and other PIT)
•    Perform other duties as needed. 
•    Available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.   
 
Required Skills and Experience: 
•    Experience in reverse logistics, reconditioning, or kitting/dekitting preferred.
•    Strong technical aptitude with experience managing processes and troubleshooting issues.
•    Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
•    Effective leader with a hands-on, team-oriented mindset.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
•    Ability to proactively identify challenges and implement solutions.
•    Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
•    Knowledge of Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operation and safety procedures.
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with minimal supervision.
•    Collaborative contributor in cross-functional teams.

Required Education: 

•    High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
