This Program Manager II role at Google focuses on NPI (New Product Introduction) Product Operations within Technical Infrastructure. You'll be the operational and supply chain liaison between product development and deployment teams, driving new product development and production ramp-up. Responsibilities include leading large cross-functional teams, planning and executing operations development, ensuring production transitions meet goals, managing ramp readiness with internal and external partners, and optimizing the supply chain while managing risks and schedule changes. The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware manufacturing, supply chain operations, and managing cross-functional projects.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years program/project management experience
  • NPI and hardware manufacturing experience

  • Optimize supply chain
Good to have:
  • Bachelor's/Master's in relevant field
  • 5+ years in hardware manufacturing

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience working in New Product Introduction (NPI) and hardware manufacturing for supply chain operations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Science or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Engineering, Operations or a relevant field.
  • 5 years experience in multiple aspects of hardware and manufacturing operations.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Knowledge about hardware Bill of Materials (BOMs), process documentation, assembly and test processes.

In this role, you will be the operations/supply chain interface to the product development and deployment teams with the responsibility for motivating operations new product development as well as supporting those products through production ramp.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead large cross-functional program teams within Google with external partners to prepare for production ramp or product transitions.
  • Plan and execute operations development activities and ensure transition to production within cost, quality and capacity parameters. Ensure successful production transitions meeting program goals.
  • Manage ramp readiness with internal teams as well as external partners (e.g., material availability, cost/assembly/test/capacity readiness and transition plans).
  • Motivate cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain for specific reasons, while accounting for risks, changes in schedule or demand.
