Job Description

This position is for a Programmer 4 to support Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA), and the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Commission (UIAC). The role involves IT systems support, development, maintenance, and enhancements for automated applications across web, network, and client-server environments. The candidate will collaborate with DTMB teams, conduct system testing, troubleshoot technical issues, and manage software source control.
Must have:
  • 4–8 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • 4–8 years of experience with Object-Oriented Programming, XML/SOAP, JSON, REST API, and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of application/database development and access methods.
Good to have:
  • Experience in web-based application design using object-oriented techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to create thorough technical documentation.

Role Description:

We are seeking a Programmer 4 to support Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA), and the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Commission (UIAC).
This role will be responsible for IT systems support, development, maintenance, and enhancements for various automated applications. These applications span web, network, and client-server environments. The candidate will work closely with other DTMB teams, conduct system testing, troubleshoot technical issues, and manage software source control.

 

You’ll be responsible for (Responsibilities): 

  • Develop and maintain applications on Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Portal and Dynamics.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot problems in production and development environments.
  • Perform integration with external systems via REST API, XML/SOAP, and JSON.
  • Participate in source control/versioning and peer code reviews.
  • Execute platform and security updates.
  • Document technical solutions and write detailed implementation steps.
Top Skills Required:
  • 4–8 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Portal and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • 4–8 years of experience with Object-Oriented Programming, XML/SOAP, JSON, REST API, and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of application/database development and access methods.
Preferred Skills:
    • Experience in web-based application design using object-oriented techniques.
    • Strong analytical skills to evaluate and resolve technical issues.
    • Ability to create thorough technical documentation.

 

You’ll have (Qualification & Experience):

  •  Bachelor's Degree in related field is required.
