Job Description

Protofire is seeking a Project Manager to join their DAO and lead web3 projects. This role involves full project management responsibility, including scope, budget, and timeline. The Project Manager will identify and mitigate project risks, collaborate with the sales team on proposals, implement Agile methodologies, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. The ideal candidate will ensure the project's success within the agreed scope and budget.

Must have:

Leadership experience as PM for 5+ years
DeFi Protocol experience or knowledge
Agile Methodologies knowledge
Experience leading engineering teams in blockchain, crypto, or Web3
Proactive and good decision-making skills
Outstanding communication level
Able to lead tech discussions
Passion for decentralized systems and Web3 technologies

Good to have:

Business and customer-oriented mindset
Experience working with Proposals for dev Grants
Finance knowledge to analyze project’s financial result
Previous experience with DeFi protocols as a User
Familiarity with non-EVM networks and Grant programs

Leadership experience as PM for 5+ years
DeFi Protocol experience or knowledge
Agile Methodologies knowledge
Experience leading engineering teams in blockchain, crypto, or Web3: good understanding of the required dev team composition
Proactive and willing to take ownership of the projects and the product vision, good decision-making skills
Outstanding communication level with clients and teams
Able to lead tech discussions related to product requirements with a client and a dev team
A passion for decentralized self-regulated systems and Web3 technologies

Bonus experience

Business and customer-oriented mindset
Experience of working with Proposals submitted to receive dev Grants from blockchain communities
Finance knowledge necessary to analyze a project’s financial result
Previous experience with DeFi protocols as a User
Familiarity with non-EVM networks, their development plans and Grant programs (big bonus)

Responsibilities

Full responsibility for the project management: the scope, the budget, and the timeline
Identify potential risks of a team not being able to deliver the project on time, within the agreed scope and/or the budget
Elaborate and implement a risk mitigation plan
Collaborate with the sales team to prepare proposals for new projects
Implement and promote Agile methodologies and ensure adherence to high-quality standards
Become a trusted advisor for clients to handle potential new business opportunities
