The Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects within budget and scope, ensuring timely completion for positive business outcomes. This includes overseeing project execution, managing project planning, and maintaining effective project control. The role involves risk management, financial oversight, stakeholder coordination, and adherence to safety and security policies. The Project Manager will also need to develop project plans, monitor progress, and manage customer, supplier, and subcontractor interactions. The role requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills to ensure project success.
Must have:
  • 8 years project management experience
  • Degree or equivalent project management qualification
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Project
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills

Job Details

Project Execution

  • Ensure on-time project execution
  • Ensure project execution within budget
  • Ensure high quality is maintained throughout project execution

Project Management

  • Provide input to the definition of project scope
  • Conduct effective and efficient planning for all projects
  • Ensure effective project organization
  • Maintain effective project control
  • Conduct effective project monitoring
    •  Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Conduct effective and profitable interface with customers, suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders for effective and efficient project planning and execution
  • Provide effective and efficient project milestone and schedule management
    • Develop a detailed project plan and monitor progress
    • Record and escalate to management as necessary

Project Risk Management

  • Ensure effective risk management on all projects through
    • Risk identification
    • Risk quantification
    • Risk mitigation

Project Financial Management

  • Ensure project execution within budget
  • Provide input to project budgeting process
    • In partnership with Procurement department, Prepare and process requisition and purchase orders for supplies and equipment
    • Monitoring performance of suppliers
    • Assist with payments of supplier invoices

Other Requirements

  • Comply with section 8 requirements of Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations (85 of 1993)
  • Comply with section 14 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations (85 of 1993).
  • Adhere to HSE & Security governance policies and procedure
  • Adhere to all other TSAS applicable policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • A degree or equivalent project management qualification
  • A degree or equivalent in appropriate technical discipline

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in project management in a multi-disciplinary environment

Knowledge

  • MS Excel, MS Word and MS Project
  • Proficiency with PS8 or any other project scheduling tools
  • Knowledge of Project management
  • Knowledge of project and financial accounting module in Qmuzik
  • Knowledge of relevant Business Line
  • Knowledge of technical translation
  • Knowledge of project accounting
