ABOUT THE POSITION

Black Shamrock is seeking a Proposals and Communications Assistant to join our ever-growing Dublin team. 

We are looking for someone with strong skills in collating and presenting information to assist with preparing proposals for future projects. The candidate will be expected to contribute across the pitching process - by helping with research, gathering and organizing information and helping to create visually compelling PowerPoint presentations. The candidate will also assist in internal communications and support the studio’s senior leadership team. This is an amazing opportunity for someone with the right aptitude, skills and enthusiasm to take on a unique role in the studio offering the opportunity to improve their skills and knowledge under the mentorship of senior staff. 

Our ideal candidate has a high level of enthusiasm for games, knowledge of a variety of game genres and ideally some experience with video game development. They are extremely well organized with time and task management and have a strong ability to organize and edit information. It is also essential to have a sharp eye for detail when preparing PPTs and maintaining alignment with the team vision. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing proposals by: 
    • Being proactive in researching topics relevant to different projects. 
    • Communicating with key team members, such as directors and producers.
    • Compiling notes, consolidating and organising information. 
    • Writing text and putting together information that follows the guidelines of each proposal.
    • Creating diagrams, flowcharts etc to visualize information. 
    • Making sure PPT proposals are clear, readable and in line with the style requirements of each project. 
    • Following art direction when working with PowerPoints e.g. when applying formatting, setting backgrounds, using text boxes and other PPT components.
    • Making formatting adjustments and applying their eye for detail and visual flair to ensure the proposals are highly polished and professional looking.
    • Proofreading to ensure there are no typos .

  

  • Assist with internal studio communications and organization for easy accessibility for all team members by: 
    • Assembling and writing up information on selected topics. 
    • Assisting HR in maintaining central portal for relevant information for all employees. 
    • Keeping a centralized location for PPTs and other materials, for ease of access for relevant stakeholders. 
    • Helping prepare internal communication materials e.g. PowerPoints for studio presentations, newsletters. 
    • Working with IT, HR etc to ensure internal guides are user-friendly, well-written and easy to follow. 
       
  • Assist with other duties by: 
    • Creating content across studio social media. (E.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, X) 
    • Helping with capacity planning where needed under the guidance of the studio success director. 
    • Assisting with general office duties where necessary.  
  • Follow studio best practice in all aspects of work and accept and act on feedback.

Qualifications

Must Have: 

  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency (SharePoint, PowerPoint & Excel). 
  • Image editing skills.  
  • Excellent copy-writing skills. 
  • Keen eye for visual and informational detail. 
  • Excellent attention to detail. 
  • Excellent organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work within a team. 
  • Long-standing passion and knowledge for games of multiple genres.  
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.  

Good to Have: 

  • Graphic Design Skills (Photoshop, Figma). 
  • Understanding of Game Development.
