Job Description

The Provider Engagement Representative provides high-quality support to customers, resolving inquiries and issues, and promoting Zelis products. This hybrid role involves handling customer interactions, maintaining records, collaborating with internal teams, and understanding Zelis products. The representative will proactively reach out to clients, assist with product usage, educate providers on benefits, and follow up on leads to retain clients by addressing pain points and offering tailored solutions.
Must have:
  • Proactively reach out to clients after a specified period if the product has not been utilized
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support across various channels
  • Contact clients to gather any missing information necessary for successful product usage
  • Assist customers using company’s products
  • Engage with customers who have opted for company products, guiding them and addressing any questions
  • Educate providers on the benefits of using Zelis products
  • Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with privacy standards
  • Follow up on both new and existing leads
  • Identify client pain points, address objections, and present suitable product and service offerings
  • Collect customer feedback to understand needs and preferences
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in provider support, customer service, or a related role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other support tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good to have:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Understanding of healthcare provider support processes and best practices
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements

Position Overview

The Provider Engagement Representative is responsible for providing high-quality support to customers, ensuring their inquiries and issues are resolved promptly and effectively while promoting Zelis products and services effectively. This role involves handling customer interactions, maintaining accurate records, collaborating with internal teams to enhance provider satisfaction, and full understanding of Zelis products. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and experience in a sales environment.

This position is hybrid and will require individuals to be in the office 2 days a week.

What you’ll do:

  • Proactively reach out to clients after a specified period if the product has not been utilized, addressing any outstanding issues they may have.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support across various channels.
  • Contact clients to gather any missing information necessary for the successful usage of company’s products.
  • Assist customers using company’s products.
  • Engage with customers who have opted for company products, guiding them and addressing any questions they may have about the product.
  • Educate providers on the benefits of using Zelis products. Champion company products and solutions, driving adoption and utilization.
  • Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with privacy standards.
  • Follow up on both new and existing leads. Identify client pain points, address objections, and present suitable product and service offerings that align with their business needs. The goal is to retain clients by providing tailored solutions.
  • Collect customer feedback through various methods to understand customer needs and preferences.

What you’ll bring to Zelis:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in provider support, customer service, or a related role.
  • Understanding of healthcare provider support processes and best practices helpful.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and other support tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.

Location and Workplace Flexibility

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture, and all our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.

Base Salary Range

$15.00 - $20.00

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
