Job Description

The Public Cloud Data Protection Engineer will provide technical support and in-depth troubleshooting for Veeam Software's clients via phone, email, and web conferencing. They will act as a technical focal point for fellow IT professionals, research customer problems, update cases in a timely manner, contribute to documentation, and stay up to date with the latest technologies concerning Veeam’s products. This role requires expertise in Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Windows Server administration, Linux administration, networking, and backups. The engineer should be able to quickly learn and explain technical information, take ownership of client issues and possess excellent time management skills. This is an on-site role, located in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Must Have:
  • Fluent English (reading/writing/speaking)

We are now looking for a Public Cloud Data Protection Engineer.

Your tasks will include:

  • Providing technical support and in-depth troubleshooting for Veeam Software’s clients (B2B) via telephone, email, and web conferencing
  • Acting as a technical focal point in relationships to fellow IT Professionals
  • Researching and troubleshoot customer problems and inquiries
  • Updating and work assigned cases in a timely manner
  • Contributing to documentation to build Veeam’s knowledge base
  • Work with technical documentation of all customer interactions accurately and within SLA in our CRM tool
  • Contributing to documentation to build Veeam’s knowledge base
  • Proactively stay up to date with all the latest technologies concerning Veeam’s products and the underlying technologies

What we expect from you:

  • Fluent English (reading/writing/speaking)
  • Previous troubleshooting/administration experience is required
  • Expertise in the following areas: Microsoft Azure (VMs, blob storage; roles, regions, security groups etc.), Amazon AWS (S3, EC2; roles, regions, security groups etc.), Google Cloud Platform (VMs, blob storage, VPC network, regions etc.), Microsoft SQL (SQL Studio, simple queries), Microsoft Windows Server administration, Linux administration, Networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, tools), Backups (concepts, software solutions etc
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand and explain technical information
  • Ability and desire to take ownership of client issues through resolution
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
