Job Description

Tesla seeks a Public Policy Manager for the Nordics (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland), based in Stockholm. This role focuses on ensuring political, regulatory, and fiscal frameworks support Tesla's mission, particularly regarding zero-emission transport and automated driving. Responsibilities include tracking and analyzing relevant legislation, developing policy positions with European and global teams, building coalitions, and collaborating with internal teams (sales, charging, legal, etc.). The ideal candidate has a proven record of achieving regulatory changes in the Nordics, excellent communication skills (English, Swedish, Norwegian), and a passion for Tesla's mission.

Must have:

Proven track record of regulatory change in Nordics
Fluency in English, Swedish, Norwegian
Strong communication & problem-solving skills
Understanding of EV, charging, or automation
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Good to have:

Masters degree (MPP, MPA, MBA, JD/LLM)

Tesla is seeking an all-round Stockholm - or Oslo - based Nordics Public Policy manager, to join its growing EMEA team. The role is to help ensure that the political, regulatory and fiscal frameworks in the ‘Nordics’ (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland) support Tesla’s mission, especially by promoting a rapid transition to zero-emission surface transport, and a safe and secure transition to automated driving.

Qualified candidates should have a passion for Tesla’s mission, speak at least Norwegian, Swedish and English, possess strong written and oral communication skills, and be able to combine strategy and detail. Significant experience with Nordic legislative and regulatory advocacy is needed. Issue area expertise in electric vehicles, charging or vehicle automation is a plus but not required since with the right attitude the learning curve can be steep.

This is a full-time opportunity to be based out of Stockholm.

What You’ll Do

Tracking and analyzing relevant legislation, regulation and policy proposals in the Nordics that impact electric vehicles, autonomous driving, and electric vehicle charging
Working with European and global Tesla teams to develop policy positions and achieving positive change in the five countries to support Tesla’s mission
Building coalitions within the sustainable transportation and energy communities
Working with other Tesla teams like sales, charging, legal, compliance, energy, homologation, product development and engineering, to ensure the best outcomes

What You’ll Bring

You have a proven track record of getting regulatory changes made in the Nordics
You ideally have a BA/BS, with Masters (MPP, MPA, MBA, JD/LLM or other advanced degree) preferred or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability;
You are committed to Tesla's mission and hands-on attitude, tenacity, strong problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
You have excellent communication skills, with a business level to near native level fluency in English, Swedish and Norwegian (written and spoken). Additional European languages are a plus
