Job Responsibilities :

The PR Manager for Asia Pacific is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategy for Razer across the APAC region. Reporting to the regional head of marketing, and working in close partnership with the head of global PR, this position serves as a communications strategist, team leader and advisor to country marketing leaders, ensuring support for the Razer brand, and products and corporate communications, as well as investors and community relations. The regional PR manager will be the first point of contact for gaming and tech media across the region and work in partnership with the country marketing managers in driving earned media communications and PR activities for the Razer brand and product divisions including PC Peripherals, Laptops and other product categories as required
  • Develop and implement targeted communication strategies for media and techtuber engagement across the Asia Pacific region to drive brand awardness across both product and corporate initiatives in partnership with country managers and various agencies.
  • Be the first point of contact for all APJ gaming and tech media and be responsible for the continuous optimization of Razer’s product presence in all relevant media (traditional media and Techtubers).
  • Create breakthrough earned media strategies and activation frameworks to build brand awareness and affinity, elevate brand equity, engage new consumers and inspire loyalty and drive purchase intent.
  • Create and maintain regional media database and proactively surface up storytelling opportunities to engage media at the brand level.
  • Be responsible for the regional execution of global product PR campaigns and campaigns supporting corporate initiatives including sustainability and esports among others.
  • Be responsible for the creation, planning and execution of regional product launches and corporate announcements and campaigns relevant to the region.
  • Coordinate with media to manage product pre-briefing schedules and media interviews.
  • Handle localization and distribution process of product and corporate press releases for APJ markets and as needed support creation of press releases.
  • Handle press sample logistics for APJ markets in coordination with global product Divisions
  • Be responsible for Razer’s regional PR activities in and around esports.
  • Be responsible for country-specific PR agency management where applicable.
  • Assist in country media event planning and execution on a regular basis.
  • Track media coverage and sentiment with industry comparison quarterly.
  • Be responsible for regular regional campaign reports and documentation to Regional Marketing Director, Product Divisions and Global PR functions.

Pre-Requisites :

  • University degree in communication science, media science, journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum eight years of experience in product PR, preferably in consumer electronics or gaming (agency and/or in-house brand) – background in journalism is a plus
  • Thorough and solution-oriented way of working
  • Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure
  • Perfect English skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ideally: Strong existing contact network within the APJ gaming/tech/esports and/or consumer electronics media scene
  • Strong understanding of gamer mindset and the gaming and consumer electronics industry and requirements
