Job Description

As a QA Automation Engineer at Evolution, you'll collaborate closely with developers, contributing to test analysis, design, and creation, alongside troubleshooting system issues. Responsibilities include working back-to-back with developers on unit, integration, and API tests (preferably in JavaScript/Typescript), performing various testing methods (manual/automated, functional/non-functional, black-box/white-box), actively participating in the transition to continuous deployment and pipeline building, and driving cross-functional collaboration to improve product quality. You will be involved in building a proper test pyramid.

Job Description

As an integral part of the development team, you will contribute to analyzing, designing, and creating tests, as well as troubleshooting system issues in a dynamic and ever-evolving environment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with developers back to back, know what they cover in unit tests (Preferably in JavaScript, and Typescript), help them define integration and API tests, and develop UI tests together.
  • Perform all means of testing (manual/automated, functional/non-functional, black-box/white-box).
  • Take an active part in the transition to continuous deployment and building pipelines and proper test pyramid
  • Engage with developers, team members, and QA teams to drive cross-functional collaboration and align testing strategies for improved product quality.

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of total experience in test automation.
  • Knowledge of automation testing with JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Experience with client-server integration testing and e2e test automation.
  • Knowledge of Jenkins (or other CI/CD tools) and experience in maintaining CI.
  • Passion for testing and aspiration to deliver a high-quality product.
  • Great communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to work and achieve results without daily supervision and collaborating with other engineers.
  • Mobile automation experience is a plus.
