Job Description

QA Engineer (Embedded Systems) at NOVOMATIC in Zabierzów, Poland. This hybrid role involves working within a 9-person team developing the backend of a Linux-based system for various hardware architectures (armhf, arm64, amd64). Responsibilities include conducting exploratory, functional, integration, and performance tests; preparing test reports; installing test and production environments; and suggesting process improvements. Collaboration with product owners and front-end developers is essential, working within a two-week sprint cycle. Integration with other NOVOMATIC solutions (gaming machines, video displays, etc.) is a key aspect of the work.

Description

In our team of 9 people, we develop the backend part of the system, running on Linux - on different hardware architectures (armhf, arm64, amd64) in standalone or distributed system. We integrate our product with other solutions manufactured at NOVOMATIC - gaming machines, video displays, data collection, processing and reporting systems.

On a day-to-day basis, we work with the Product Owner and people working on the front end of the application. We deliver results in two-week sprints.

What you will be doing

Work closely with the project team.
Conducting exploratory, functional, integration, performance tests.
Preparation of test reports
Installing test and production environments
Suggesting improvements to the software development process to reduce the risk of errors
