Job Description:

Digital Legends is an Activision independent Studio based in Barcelona, formed by industry veterans and emerging talent who are focused on delivering a AAA gaming experience to mobile devices. Since it was founded in 2001, the studio has been a pioneer in mobile game development. It has a long, established history as a leading mobile development studio with a number of high-quality mobile titles built from the ground-up to its credits, including the award winning The Respawnables™ series of games. We are working on the all-new, AAA mobile experience that will bring the exciting, fluid and large-scale action of Call of Duty® Warzone Mobile to players on the go.

We are looking for a QA Games Tester Intern, who will assist the Quality Assurance team in testing games for bugs, performance issues, and functionality. You will collaborate with other testers and developers to ensure the highest quality experience for players. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the gaming industry, working on exciting projects and learning the intricacies of quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Game Testing: Play and test video games to identify bugs, glitches, and gameplay issues.
  • Bug Reporting: Document issues clearly and concisely using bug-tracking software, providing detailed steps to reproduce bugs and relevant screenshots or videos.
  • Test Case Execution: Follow test cases and QA guidelines to validate game features, mechanics, UI, audio, and visual components.
  • Regression Testing: Re-test previously identified bugs to ensure they have been properly fixed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, designers, and other QA testers.

Qualifications:

  • Currently Enrolled in a Related Program: Pursuing a degree or diploma in game development, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Passion for Gaming: Strong interest in video games and gaming platforms, with a broad knowledge of different game genres and styles.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail, with the ability to spot minor glitches and inconsistencies.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify potential issues in complex game systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documenting bugs and reporting findings clearly.
  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with other testers and game developers to achieve the best possible product.
  • Basic Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with gaming consoles (e.g., PlayStation, Xbox, PC, etc.) and understanding of basic game mechanics and software development principles.

We love hearing from anyone who is enthusiastic about changing the games industry. Not sure you meet all the qualifications? Let us decide. Research shows that women and members of other under-represented groups tend to not apply to jobs when they think they may not meet every qualification, when, in fact, they often do. At Activision Blizzard, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourage you to apply.
