QA Test Engineer - LY-TH02

When life gives you lemons, and your first instinct is to “Inspect” it, we are looking for you!

A seamless design is the result of a bug-free development. We have the design and development - you just need to run your scan through it. Lemon Yellow is looking to hire a QA Tester who can create and execute test cases for functional and GUI flows.

What do we need from you?

Manual and functional testing

• Simply do what you’re best at. Identify, document, and track bugs. But in a systematic way, of course.
• Perform manual and functional testing of software applications to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
  
  

Automation testing

• Be a helping hand. Furnish and learn new skills by assisting the in-house team for automation scripts using Java.
• Execute and maintain automation test scripts to ensure high levels of software quality.
  
  

Test case development

• Designs need development to become seamless and functional. And we count on you for that. Create detailed and comprehensive test cases for GUI testing based on the client requirements and user stories.
• Ensure test coverage by developing test cases that thoroughly validate the application’s functionality.
• Independently manage test execution and take ownership of the assigned projects from start to finish.
  
  

Management and feedback

• Identify, document, and track defects in the bug-tracking tool to ensure timely resolution.
• Analyze testing results, report metrics, and provide feedback on the overall quality of the product.
  
  

Documentation

• Records are proof of y(our) hard work. Document test results, procedures, and any deviations from expected results.
• We’re all about experience. And one of the best experiences is that of a clean and organized record. Maintain the hygiene of testing records and documentation.
  
  

Collaboration

• At Lemon Yellow, maintaining team spirit is a conscious effort. Be open to collaboration to crack the code of client requirements and ensure effective testing.
• Bring forth your (un)hidden extrovert. Participate in test planning, execution, and review meetings.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
• 1+ years of experience in software testing (both, manual and automation).
• Experience with frameworks like Selenium WebDriver for automation testing is a bonus.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as JIRA and ClickUp.
• Tested experience with design tools such as Figma to validate UI UX designs against application behaviour.
• Knowledge of core Java and testing concepts.
• A proactive approach towards learning and working independently.
• Communication is the key to a healthy collaboration, hence we appreciate verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills along with precise attention to detail.
• Last but not the least, high-quality work is the testament of a talented professional.
