Job Summary

Job Description

Ylands EDU, a Czech educational platform teaching computer science, seeks a QA Tester with 2+ years of experience, including at least 1 year in game testing. Responsibilities include test preparation and execution, providing constructive feedback to developers and designers, assisting with debugging, and approaching testing from the end-user perspective. The ideal candidate possesses good communication skills, basic programming knowledge, and the ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team. Experience with web-based app testing, JavaScript, HTML, and white-box testing is a plus. The role is based in Prague, Czech Republic.

Must have:

2+ years QA experience (1 year in games)
Constructive feedback to developers
End-user focused testing approach
Good communication & collaboration skills
Basic programming knowledge

Good to have:

Web app testing/development
JavaScript & HTML knowledge
White-box testing experience

QA Tester

Ylands EDU is a Czech educational platform designed to teach computer science in a creative and engaging way. It provides a safe space for students to explore, create, and build small game projects, while allowing teachers to design interactive lessons that are flexible and tailored to their needs.

Job Description

We are interested in adding a new colleague with a somewhat specific profile to our QA team. If you have experience with testing games and web-based apps, this might be the role for you!

Responsibilities

Prepare and perform tests
Provide early feedback in a constructive manner to the developers and designers
Assist developers with debugging
Approach testing with the end user in mind

Requirements

At least 2 years of QA experience
At least 1 year of QA experience in the games industry
Ability to communicate and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary development team
Good written and spoken English
Basic knowledge of programming and scripting

Nice to have

Web-based app testing/development experience
Knowledge of JavaScript and HTML
White-box testing experience
Experience working with schoolkids
