Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to lead the Quality initiatives for GE Digital Commercial technology team. You will join the Commercial IT team and collaborate with our product managers, business analyst, developers, and business users to understand business needs, control release quality to avoid escape defects. By partnering with development & DevOps teams, you will continuously work on automating preprod quality-assurance mechanisms. This person will own the preparation, execution and completion of all tasks related to quality assurance, be accountable for the QA execution on-time with the required quality.

The ideal candidate has a background in sales, marketing, and customer service systems, has proven success in a setting up automation frameworks, and has the desire to be a thought-leader on a quickly growing team.

Roles and Responsibilities

In This Role, You Will

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases based on product specifications.
  • Own the QA Test completion, in alignment with our release schedules.
  • Quality of the work is of utmost importance, QA testing may need to go above & beyond individual work items, need to focus on comprehensive/follow-on impact of the changes.
  • Support the Business with creation of UAT Test cases, support/guide Business with UAT.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
  • Execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
  • Identify, record, document the issues found (bugs) thoroughly and track through resolution.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
  • Monitor debugging process results.
  • Investigate the root causes of non-conforming software.
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work/technical experience.
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in a Quality Assurance Engineer role.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques.
  • Experience testing applications developed in Oracle CPQ and or/Salesforce technology.
  • Strong experience / demonstrated success releasing high quality products.
  • Web services testing experience (Postman and JSON preferred).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills and the ability to relentlessly prioritize.
  • Passion for a fast-paced, high growth environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience on Salesforce application testing – Sales, Marketing and Service Clouds, CPQ, and integrations with ERP systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD Platforms (e.g., Flosom, Jenkins).
  • Test Automation experience.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced Agile environment with diverse/ multiple stakeholders.
