The VR Test Lead will manage the entire lifecycle of VR QA projects, from initial planning and team coordination to test execution and final delivery, ensuring high quality and performance. Responsibilities include collaborating with clients, overseeing test execution, coordinating task distribution, identifying risks, leading meetings, supervising staffing, maintaining documentation, mentoring testers, validating bugs, and ensuring timekeeping accuracy. This role demands strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced VR Test Lead to oversee and guide quality assurance efforts on cutting-edge Virtual Reality projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of VR QA projects from initial planning and team coordination to test execution and final delivery ensuring the highest level of quality and performance. You will work closely with internal teams and external clients to maintain clear communication, timely execution, and outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of assigned VR QA projects and drive them from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, and testing requirements.
  • Oversee the setup and execution of VR-specific test plans, ensuring coverage of platform requirements, hardware compatibility, and user experience.
  • Coordinate task distribution, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to schedules and deliverables.
  • Identify risks and issues early, and proactively implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Lead team meetings, status updates, and client briefings to maintain transparency and alignment.
  • Supervise staffing for QA projects and provide onboarding and ongoing support for new team members.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, test reports, and relevant Confluence pages.
  • Drive team performance by mentoring QA testers and fostering professional development.
  • Validate bugs and track defect trends using bug tracking tools and project metrics.
  • Ensure timekeeping accuracy and validation for your project team.

 

  • Proven experience leading QA teams, preferably within the VR or interactive entertainment space.
  • Strong understanding of VR platforms (e.g., Meta Quest, PlayStation VR, HTC Vive) and their technical and experiential requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and QA software (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Confluence).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience writing and reviewing test plans and test cases tailored to immersive experiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
  • Willingness and ability to relocate for the role.
