Sportskeeda seeks a Quality Checker – Video Content to ensure all video content across its platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) adheres to copyright laws, platform guidelines, and brand standards. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving video content, identifying and rectifying inconsistencies, ensuring brand consistency, conducting copyright checks, monitoring platform updates, and reporting on policy violations. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for sports and entertainment, strong knowledge of copyright laws, and familiarity with social media guidelines. Technical skills in video editing software are a plus.

We are looking for a Quality Checker – Video Content who has a strong understanding of digital media, video production quality standards, and copyright regulations. This role is crucial in ensuring that all video content across our platforms adheres to copyright laws, platform guidelines (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.), and brand standards.
The ideal candidate must have a passion for both sports and entertainment and be able to analyze video content, identify potential issues, and ensure high-quality standards before publication.
Key
Responsibilities:
Content Quality Control
- Review and approve all video content before it goes live to ensure it meets technical, creative, and brand guidelines.
- Identify and rectify any audio, visual, or editing inconsistencies.
- Ensure consistency in branding, graphics, subtitles, and captions.
Copyright & Compliance Monitoring
- Ensure all videos comply with copyright laws and avoid any potential violations (music, footage, images, etc.).
- Conduct thorough copyright checks using YouTube Content ID and other copyright verification tools.
- Keep up-to-date with YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media policies regarding content usage, monetization, and fair use
Platform Guidelines & Best Practices
- Ensure all content follows the latest social media video guidelines (aspect ratios, length, metadata, SEO optimization, etc.).
- Monitor platform updates and provide recommendations on policy changes that impact content distribution.
Content Monitoring & Reporting
- Regularly monitor published videos across all platforms for any policy violations, strikes, or demonetization risks.
- Work closely with the content, editing, and legal teams to flag and resolve issues.
- Maintain a report of flagged videos, violations, and necessary revisions.
Sports & Entertainment Niche Expertise
- Stay updated on sports and entertainment trends to ensure content remains engaging, relevant, and compliant with industry standards.
- Provide recommendations for improving video content to increase engagement and retention.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in video content quality control, copyright checking, or a similar role.
- Strong Knowledge of Copyright Laws & Digital Rights Management (DRM): Familiarity with fair use, royalty-free content, and licensing.
- Deep Understanding of Social Media Guidelines: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc.
- Passion for Sports & Entertainment: Ability to assess content relevance in these domains.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.) is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify even the smallest content-related issues before publishing.
- Analytical Mindset: Experience in tracking content performance and compliance metrics.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly resolve content-related issues with internal teams.
