Overview
ISS STOXX ESG is seeking a Quality Management Analyst to join the Global ESG Methodology team in our Manila location.
ESG Methodology is a horizontal function across all ESG research and solution verticals, ensuring high quality and consistency of methodologies, innovative solutions and gold standard in research and resulting signals.
The focus of the Quality Management Analyst role will be to support the Quality Management and Assurance Lead by building quality management structures for the ISS ESG Research team. The Quality Management Analyst will apply quality management principles by executing Plan-Do-Check-Act cycles, Process Approach, and Risk-Based Thinking, and will closely collaborate and cooperate with relevant research teams to continuously ensure the highest standards in terms of methodology and quality, as well as consistent approaches and fully integrated solutions across our business.
ISS STOXX ESG teams are based in the Philippines, the US, Australia, Germany, Sweden, India, and the UK. The successful candidate will work both independently as well as collaboratively with the local team and colleagues across our global offices. Responsibilities
Support the QM&A team in the maintenance of the Quality Management System using the PDCA cycle
Contribute to ESG Research’s Error Management procedures and actively monitor the status of corrective actions
Assist with Business Process Mapping and analysis, and apply quality tools to processes
Identify areas with need of improvement, plan and implement process improvement initiatives, and assist with providing training, tools, and techniques to enable analysts to achieve quality standards (continuous improvement)
Support the knowledge management program for ISS ESG Research, including the capture, content architecture, maintenance, quality, and strategy of knowledge assets
Support the methodology governance framework within ISS ESG Research
Monitor compliance with quality requirements via checks and audits
Establish deep relationships and partner with research and product teams to facilitate further integration of quality management structures and processes
Monitor developments in the responsible investment space, review and affirm alignment of our quality management approach with relevant regulatory and voluntary standards
Initiate quality enhancements in line with client, market, and regulatory expectations
Encourage and promote a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration through training, coaching, and support
Qualifications
Must have a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, natural resource management, environmental or climate science, or similar.
At least 2 years of experience with ESG investor research or comparable services to the financial industry and/or in a quality- or knowledge/process-management related role – preferably a combination of both
Certification, experience with, or knowledge in quality management regimes and techniques desirable (Lean/SixSigma and/or ISO9001 implementation preferred)
Experience with, or knowledge in, knowledge management regimes and techniques desirable
Strong technical (Excel-based) and analytical skills, particularly in the areas of quantitative research, analysis, and data management
Excellent oral and written command of English (additional language capabilities are an asset).
Experience with Project Management tools such as MS Project, Jira, MS Visio etc.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint
Technical skills (including knowledge of database management, information architecture, and software applications) are a plus
Highly proficient writing capabilities
Solutions- and execution-oriented approach
Exceptional project management skills
Organizational skills, strategic mindset, attention to detail, a self-driven work ethic, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
Ability to work within a team-oriented cross-functional environment and communicate with various internal parties; experience working with teams located in multiple cities and countries preferred.
