Job Description

The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for developing and implementing systems and processes to prevent internal and external failures, ensuring compliance with standards. Key responsibilities include managing the Quality Lab, implementing product controls, evaluating specifications, leading investigations, conducting audits, and utilizing statistical data for problem-solving. The role also involves creating sampling plans, maintaining gage calibration, reviewing designs, and managing documentation. This role contributes to improving lives and the environment around the world.
Must have:
  • Supports and implements policies/procedures, including the Quality Management System.
  • Responsible for Quality Lab including testing, staffing (three Quality Technicians), and supplies.
  • Implement and manage effective process and product controls to ensure first time product quality.
  • Lead investigation and resolution for internal nonconformances and customer product quality complaints.
  • Develop and lead internal product/process quality audit system, including closing out audit findings and reporting results.
  • Utilize statistical data to identify and resolve safety and quality problems, and lead initiatives that focus on problem prevention and variance reduction.
  • Create, modify, and implement sampling plans, quality standards, and process control instructions.
Good to have:
  • Practical knowledge in utilizing formal problem resolution tools (8D, DMAIC, etc.).
  • Experience in utilization of Excel and Minitab (or equivalent) for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Working background in ISO9001.
  • Experience in utilizing AIAG core requirements (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC).
  • Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing experience a plus.

We have an opportunity for a Quality Supervisor to join our Dover, NH team. You will aid in the development and implementation of systems and processes that promote the prevention of internal and external failures, and will assure compliance to internal, customer, and third-party regulatory standards and requirements. The Quality Engineer will ensure manufacturing processes are capable of meeting requirements, as well as define process steps to maintain the company and plant quality system.

You will:

  • Supports and implements policies/procedures, including the Quality Management System.
  • Responsible for Quality Lab including testing, staffing (three Quality Technicians), and supplies.
  • Implement and manage effective process and product controls to ensure first time product quality.
  • Evaluate and monitor raw material, in-process, and finished good specifications to achieve customer and regulatory requirements. 
  • Lead investigation and resolution for internal nonconformances, customer product quality complaints, and supplier quality concerns using disciplined problem-solving techniques (8D, DMAIC, etc.).
  • Develop and lead internal product/process quality audit system, including closing out audit findings and reporting results. Participate in the external Water Quality Audits like NSF, WQA, etc.
  • Utilize statistical data to identify and resolve safety and quality problems, and lead initiatives that focus on problem prevention and variance reduction.
  • Create, modify, and implement sampling plans, quality standards, and process control instructions.
  • Maintain gage calibration system to support measurement needs in production and QA.
  • Review new product designs and processes to ensure quality of design and conformance requirements.
  • Responsible for Document control, technical writing of procedures, work instructions, forms, and production reports
  • Responsible for label creation and label system management.
  • Initiate and sustain MRB (Material Review Board) process in support of appropriate product disposition.
  • Initiate, review, and approve Customer, Production, and supplier PPAP submissions.
  • Other job functions as assigned.

Key Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years Quality Engineering experience.
  • Practical knowledge in utilizing formal problem resolution tools (8D, DMAIC, etc.).
  • Experience in utilization of Excel and Minitab (or equivalent) for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Working background in ISO9001.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $71000 - $131800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
