Room 8 Studio is currently looking for a proficient and experienced Team Lead who specializes in photorealistic character creation and has a strong background in game development.
The ideal candidate is a leader who can maintain high standards of quality and style, with knowledge of the technical and artistic constraints of the character creation process.
In your role as a Team Lead, you will be responsible for supervising and assisting a team of skilled character artists in bringing concept designs to life by creating unique personas, animals, and creatures that will inhabit various worlds. You will be able to provide guidance and support to your team, overcome any challenges that may arise, and offer constructive feedback with ease.

you have are
- Work experience in the role of Project Lead or Team Lead in the 3D Characters Team;
- Control the quality of artists’ work in the team;
- Assist and solve problems in the team that are related to the artistic and technical components of the project;
- Constant self-development and the desire to develop others;
- The ability to objectively evaluate the work of others and give constructive feedback;
- High-quality standards and artistic taste;
- Deep industry knowledge;
- High-poly sculpt in Zbrush;
- SubD modeling in Max / Maya;
- Character topology for animation;
- Cloth simulation in Marvelous Designer;
- Excellent knowledge of anatomy;
- Texturing in Substance Painter;
- Ability to create UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
- Intermediate level of English proficiency or higher, both in writing and speaking.

if you have
- Work experience with game engines;
- Work experience in making creatures;
- A good understanding of the rigging and animation process;
- Drawing skills.
As a part of Room 8
studio, you will
- Develop 3D Realistic Characters Sub-division and lead projects in this direction;
- Execute quality control of the work of artists in the team;
- Assist and solve problems in the team that are related to the artistic and technical side of the project;
- Organize the work of the team within the project and specific tasks;
- Create technical specifications and guides;
- Build a team with the support of a strong recruiting department, participating in the hiring process as a technical interviewer and reviewer;
- Develop a portfolio;
- Estimate projects and take part in test projects;
- Create high-poly and low-poly models of photoreal characters for games on given concepts;
- Create optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
- Work with texturing in Substance Painter (hand-paint texturing in case the project requirements).
