Room 8 Studio seeks a Middle/Senior Realistic 3D Environment & Props Artist. Responsibilities include creating high-poly and low-poly models of photorealistic environments and hard surfaces for games, optimizing UV mapping and texture baking, photorealistic texturing, and working with game engines (Unreal Engine 4, Unity, Lumberyard). The ideal candidate possesses strong skills in ZBrush sculpting, Maya/Max modeling, Substance Painter texturing, Substance Designer materials creation, and understanding of modular asset creation. Experience with game engine asset integration and pipeline knowledge is crucial.
Must have:
  • High-poly sculpting (ZBrush)
  • Modeling (Max/Maya)
  • UV unwrapping & packing
  • Modular asset creation
  • Substance Painter texturing
  • Substance Designer materials
  • Game engine asset import (Unreal, Unity etc.)

We are looking for highly qualified and experienced artists with the skills for environments and props creation according to AAA pipelines.

Superpowers
you have are

  • High-poly sculpt in Zbrush;
  • Modeling in Max / Maya;
  • Good UV unwrap and optimal UV packing;
  • Good understanding of the modular system for assets creation;
  • Texturing in the Substance Painter;
  • Materials creation in Substance Designer;
  • Tiles and trims creation, working with multiple UV channels, Vertex paint;
  • Import assets and materials setup in game engines (UnrealEngine 4, Unity, Lumberyard, etc);
  • Good understanding of modern pipelines and requirements for creating photoreal environments and hardsurface;
  • Ability to follow and correctly interpret/improve the concept idea;
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset to work in dynamic, creative environments;
  • Intermediate+ English level (written and spoken) for seamless collaboration and documentation.

You’re a rockstar
if you have

  • Skills assembling assets into a scene in game engines (UnrealEngine 4, Unity, Lumberyard, etc);
  • Good knowledge of pipelines for plants creation.

As a part of Room 8
studio, you will

  • Create high-poly and low-poly models of the photoreal environment and hardsurface for games on given concepts/references according to guideline;
  • Create optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
  • Make photorealistic texturing;
  • Work with game engines.
