Job Description

Tesla seeks a diligent Regional Audit Specialist for its Tesla Approved Bodyshop (TAB) program, focusing on cost reduction. The role involves reviewing TAB estimates/invoices, repair methods (using STC), liaising with fleets and insurance companies, analyzing repair operations against images and Tesla repair methods, identifying discrepancies and cost overruns, generating reports, and advising TAB sites on best practices and estimating methods. This includes setting review dates with TAB sites and monitoring required estimation changes. Frequent travel within Australia and New Zealand may be required.
Good To Have:
  • Dealer/Bodyshop Management Systems experience
Must Have:
  • 2+ years Body Repair Estimation experience
  • 1+ year internal report writing experience
  • Technical understanding of Body Repair
  • Bodyshop quote & quoting methods understanding
  • Understanding of Body repair tooling & methods
  • Proficient in Audanet (preferred)
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Fluent English (verbal & written)

What to Expect

Tesla is looking for a proactive and diligent Regional Audit Specialist to better support Tesla Approved Bodyshop network (TAB) Program to primarily assist with reducing the cost of ownership. You will collaborate with Body Repair program team, TABS sites, Technical Support, Service Centres, and Insurance Companies to validate TAB`s repair Estimates/Invoices.

Highlight potential over charges and or operations that are not required during the repair process. Generate reports and action plans for TAB`s sites to follow to prevent over charging on future works.

What You’ll Do
  • Acquire TAB`s estimates/detailed final invoices and photos
  • Review repair methods and operations in STC (Service.tesla.com)
  • Liaise with Fleet and Insurance companies regarding recent Tesla repairs for their network of customers
  • Analyze TAB`s estimated operations against, images and Tesla Repair methods
  • Identify discrepancies, operations that are not required and unusually high labour costs against the Tesla schedule
  • Generate reports on the discrepancies found. Advise TABS sites on Tesla best practices in line with TABS program GTC’s
  • Advise on best estimating practices to for future estimates
  • Set review dates with TABS sites and monitor required estimation changes

What You’ll Bring
  • 2+ years of Estimation experience in the Body Repair Industry
  • 1+ years of internal report writing
  • Good technical understanding of Body Repair principals and Body Repair Centre processes
  • Dealer/Bodyshop Management Systems experience preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Bodyshop quotes and quoting methods
  • Understanding of tooling and repair methods used in Body repair
  • Proficiency in Audanet (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Power Point (preferred)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Fluent English (verbal & written)
  • Ability for frequent travel across Australia and New Zealand (if required)
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams, including those located in Australia and New Zealand
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate challenges specific to the automotive markets in both countries
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks based on demand despite changes in work scope or focus
  • Open-minded, collaborative, and team-oriented attitude with the ability to think outside the box for solutions to complex challenges
  • Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a passion for being hands-on in their work
