About the job:
As a Regional Electrical Engineer at Google, you'll be responsible for the electrical design, construction, and operation of our data centers. You'll work with a team of engineers to develop cutting-edge strategies for using power and running state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly facilities. You'll also generate ideas, communicate recommendations to senior-level executives, and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of experience in data center electrical design, construction, and operation
  • Experience in interdisciplinary engineering coordination
Good to have:
  • Experience in mechanical infrastructure systems
  • Data center architecture
  • Fire engineering
  • Technical infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in data center electrical design, construction, and operation.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary engineering co-ordination.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in mechanical infrastructure systems, data center architecture, fire engineering, or technical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and prepare documents including scope of works, engineering analysis, design and review, engineering work demarcations, specifications and documentation, facility audits, commissioning support, site inspections and work acceptance.
  • Be involved in the development of electrical related infrastructures in data center projects from site evaluations to final turnover, and modifications to existing infrastructures.
