Regional PR Director (US)

OWLCAT GAMES was founded in 2016. The studio employs developers who worked on projects such as Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, and  Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.

We are currently looking for a Regional PR Director to work with the US market. This person will excel at developing and implementing effective PR strategies to enhance the studio’s presence and brand image in the region. This person will possess extensive media relations experience, expertise in translating complex concepts into broadly digestible stories, and strong self-management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 

· Develop and execute hi-impact, creative PR campaigns for Owlcat Games portfolio of titles in the US market;

· Cultivate and maintain relationships with the US-based journalists, media outlets, and influencers;

· Pitch story ideas, news releases, and other relevant content to secure positive media coverage, including the social channels of top tier media;

· Seek opportunities for collaborations and partnerships to enhance the studio's brand reputation and product visibility;

· Create compelling PR content and ensure it is accurate, consistent, and aligned with the studio's brand voice and messaging;

· Act as the spokesperson and coordinate media responses during crisis situations;

· Work with Owlcat’s external US-based PR agency;

· Direct and oversee digital and physical events that drive media coverage and content creation;

· Provide timely PR reports and analysis to the management team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

 · 2-4 years of relevant experience in public relations or communications on behalf of gaming brands, preferably in a PR agency;

·   Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with media professionals, journalists, and influencers;

·   Strong creative thinking and storytelling skills to develop engaging PR content and narratives that resonate with target audiences;

·   Proactivity in searching for unique angles and opportunities to generate positive media coverage;

·   Deep knowledge of the US gaming market and understanding of its PR challenges;

·   Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and tight deadlines;

·   Stellar communication skills, written and verbal.
