Join the Product Management organization for Nasdaq. You will further develop your skills in analyzing and understanding legal text, along with the ability to translate this text into a tangible outcome. You will have the opportunity to expand your prowess in the Broker-Dealer space in a more practical setting as you become more involved in various client data and reporting scenarios. The role will lend itself to continued learning in the regulatory space by default, but will also provide a much wider view of the operational workings of investment banking. The role will be primarily internal facing, with some client interaction, and may involve occasional travel.
The main objective for the Product Management team in US is to build state of the art calculation and reporting systems relating mainly to the Financial Responsibility Rules for US Registered Broker Dealers. As our new member, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and experienced team members. Together with your team, you will be responsible for delivery of enhancements and supporting re-architecture of the enterprise product to new software paradigms. You will be a key liaison between the Development and Product teams.
Engage in research on various regulatory change logic, leading the analysis and implementation of them into the solution
Writing solution specifications including Business Requirements and Functional Specifications for the solution development team
Reverse engineering current solutions so as to develop better approaches to solutions and ensure accuracy of current solutions
Perform detailed analyses of changes enacted by regulators
Regularly monitoring regulatory rule updates, ensuring solution remains fit-for-purpose with all regulatory requirements
Navigate our Controller View platform to better understand the implementation of the regulatory requirements across various jurisdictions
Liaising with the solution development team, providing business knowledge to ensure business requirements are clearly understood
Guide the Quality Assurance team on scenarios to be tested, reviewing test cases and results
Support the Pre-sales team in conducting Proof of Concepts and demos to potential clients
Engage with existing clients to understand their business scenarios where required and act as a representative of the Broker Dealer team in these conversations
We expect you to have
At least 8-10 years combined of regulatory reporting experience and business or regulatory change analyst
Experience in reviewing regulations and translating the requirements into functional specifications/business requirement documents
Good understanding of key financial products, particularly equity based, fixed income and derivative instruments
Strong communication skills and ability to work with a team in a dynamic environment - especially key is working and communicating with more technically-inclined colleagues
Highly organized and methodical approach to analysis
Goal driven and self-motivated attitude
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Previous experience working in Financial responsibility rules of Broker-Dealers, Swap Dealers and FCMs. Financial Reporting is a plus
Working knowledge of regulations such as Rules 15c3-3 and 15c3-1
Experience as a Business Analyst
Experience with guiding Project Managers

The base pay range for this role is $105,300 - $175,400.
