As a Release Engineer at Escape Velocity, you'll be integral to the game development process, ensuring seamless and reliable deployment of game builds. You'll collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams, streamlining release workflows, automating processes, and maintaining the release pipeline's health. Responsibilities include maintaining release pipelines, coordinating and managing the release process, integrating automated testing, troubleshooting build issues, optimizing build performance, documenting best practices, and providing team support and training. A strong background in software development, continuous integration, and deployment is crucial, along with a passion for gaming and a keen eye for quality.

Description

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Release Engineer to join our dynamic team here at Escape Velocity. As a Release Engineer, you will be an integral part of our game development process, ensuring seamless and reliable deployment of our game builds. You will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline release workflows, automate processes, and maintain the overall health of our release pipeline.

You will have a strong background in software development, continuous integration, and deployment processes. You will also be passionate about gaming and possess a keen eye for ensuring the highest quality standards.

Requirements

What we will do together:

  • Maintain release pipelines for game development projects.
  • Coordinate and manage the release process for game builds, ensuring timely and stable deployments.
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate automated testing into the build process.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot build issues, providing quick resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Optimise build performance and scalability to handle impact of increasing complexity and size of game projects on release pipelines.
  • Document and maintain release engineering best practices and procedures.
  • Provide support and training to development teams on release management tools and processes.
