Your Role and Responsibilities

The Release Program Manager position is an individual-contributor role within the Aspera Team with tremendous influence on the future of Aspera by being a key agent to ensure that all aspects of engineering is running smoothly. This person will be primarily responsible for driving projects and product releases and releasing our products on time, on scope, and on quality. This person is also expected to be able to be hands-on when needed.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise


  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Three to five years experience in a technical project, program, or release management role
  • Strong grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile best practices
  • Strong technical background and process implementation skills
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, etc) and ability to motivate the team
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Good organization, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Proven track-record of balancing multiple projects at once and delivery projects successfully and on time (getting things done)
  • Ability to get hands on with technical problems, troubleshoot, and resolve issues


Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise


  • Experience with security best practices and implementation

  • Experience with IBM Release Processes
