Job Details

IOI is developing two exciting game projects: Project 007, a brand-new James Bond video game featuring an entirely original Bond story, and Project Fantasy, an ambitious new IP for console and PC that aims to revolutionise the online fantasy RPG genre. In parallel, through IOI Partners, we are expanding our publishing efforts, working with visionary external developers to bring immersive, original experiences to life.

As Release Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful deployment of both our internally developed titles and externally published projects. Based in either our Brighton or Barcelona studio, this role is responsible for managing release operations across a variety of platforms and collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners alike. It’s a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile games and help shape the way IOI delivers exceptional experiences to players worldwide.

What you will do:

  • Own and manage the end-to-end release process across both internally developed games and externally developed titles we publish.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including QA, Production, Engineering, and Publishing to ensure smooth and timely delivery of game updates, patches, and full releases.
  • Guide and execute the submission process across multiple platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Nintendo, etc.), ensuring compliance with TRC/XR and other certification requirements.
  • Serve as a key point of contact with First Party platform representatives, maintaining daily operational communication and ensuring alignment with their backend systems and requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external studios to align on release models, schedules, and store strategies, balancing technical limitations and business priorities.
  • Support store setup, promotional planning, and publishing operations for all titles, leveraging your knowledge of platform-specific processes and tools.

Who you are:

  • You have experience in Release Management, Technical Production, Project Management, or a similar role within the games industry.
  • You’re confident coordinating across teams including QA, Marketing, Developer Services, and Game Teams, ensuring alignment and timely communication.
  • You understand the complexities of managing multi-platform game releases and navigating First Party requirements.
  • You’re hands-on with configuration management and build tools (e.g., Perforce, Git, SubVersion, TeamCity).
  • You’re familiar with First Party backend tools and store operations, and have a solid grasp of submission processes for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Steam, and others.
  • You’re highly organised, a natural communicator, and thrive in a role that bridges technical detail with process coordination.
  • Experience working with or supporting external development teams is a plus.
