You will report to the Lab Supervisor and support laboratory activities. The role involves preparing, conducting, and recording experiment outcomes, analyzing data using basic statistics, providing solutions to research problems, and maintaining lab equipment. The internship program spans 20 weeks, from September 8, 2025, to January 25, 2026. The selected candidate will be invited for an interview with Illumina’s Research & Development Team. Research Assistant Intern (20 weeks): The Research Assistant Intern will be required to complete a 20 weeks program from 8 Sep 2025 to 25 Jan 2026. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview with Illumina’s Research & Development Team. Project Description: As an intern within Illumina’s Research and Development team, you will work as part of a global multi-disciplinary research team to help create new sequencing methods. You will report directly to the Lab Supervisor and provide support to laboratory activities. Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, set-up, conduct and record the outcome of experiments and field work
  • Analyze data by utilizing basic statistics
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to routine problems in relation to the research project i.e. methodological/technical problems
  • Assist in laboratory maintenance
  • Upkeep of lab equipment, maintain laboratory supplies and good housekeeping
  • Learn and have fun!
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Open to current Diploma students in scientific disciplines such as Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Organized, excellent laboratory skills
  • Meticulous, attentive to details
  • Able to communicate effectively with excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Analytical, efficient, problem solver, easily-adaptable, independent but also works well in a team
  • Takes initiative, a self-starter, positive, and driven with a “can do” attitude.
