Job Description

As a Research Scientist in Molecular Dynamics at ByteDance, you will contribute to cutting-edge advancements in molecular dynamics and free energy methodologies. You'll innovate and refine strategies for drug discovery through computational tools, developing comprehensive solutions for scientific challenges. Your expertise in molecular dynamics simulations, free energy calculations, docking, and homology modeling will be crucial, along with strong programming skills in Python or C/C++.

Must have:

Proficiency in molecular dynamics simulations
Free energy simulations experience
Strong programming skills in Python or C/C++
Master's or PhD in related field

Good to have:

Experience with Gromacs, Amber, OpenMM

About the team: The AML AI for Science team has been focusing on tackling challenges in natural sciences, including biology, physics, and materials, with computational tools such as Machine Learning, Computational Chemistry, High-throughput Computation. Responsibilities: - Contribute to the advancement of state-of-the-art molecular dynamics and free energy methodologies. - Innovate and refine novel strategies for computer-aided drug discovery. - Conceptualize, develop, and evaluate comprehensive solutions to scientific challenges.

Qualifications

Qualifications: We are seeking a Scientist proficient in the conception and application of molecular dynamics and molecular simulation techniques. The ideal candidate should possess the following: - Proficiency in various computational methods with familiarity in others, molecular dynamics simulations, free energy simulations, docking, and homology modeling. - Strong programming skills in python or C/C++, coupled with a sound understanding of object-oriented programming principles. - The ability to independently troubleshoot problems, alongside effective teamwork and exceptional communication aptitude. - A Master’s or PhD degree in Computational Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: - Candidates who have hands-on experience in code development within molecular dynamics simulation platforms, such as Gromacs, Amber, OpenMM, and similar. - Candidates with a background in developing free energy methods and applying them to the realm of small molecule drug discovery. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $177688 - $266000 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
