Google's Trust & Safety team is dedicated to protecting users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. As a Responsible AI Testing Data Analyst, you will leverage Google's big data to conduct data-oriented analysis, architect metrics, synthesize information, solve problems, and influence business decision-making by presenting insights and market trends. You will work autonomously to identify and solve problems and collaborate effectively within a team to develop comprehensive solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis, data science, and trust & safety concepts, along with experience in SQL and building dashboards. If you are passionate about promoting trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety, this role could be a great fit for you.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or trust and safety
  • Experience with SQL
  • Use Google's big data to conduct data-oriented analysis
  • Leverage SQL to build robust and scalable scripts
  • Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams
Good to have:
  • Master's degree or PhD
  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g. Python)
  • Experience working with engineering and product teams to create tools, solutions, or automation to improve user safety
  • Experience with modeling, experimentation, and causal inference
  • Experience in Trust and Safety, Intel, or Policy
  • Experience in responsible AI

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Use Google’s big data to conduct data-oriented analysis, architect metrics, synthesize information, solve problems, and influence business decision-making by presenting insights and market trends.
  • Leverage SQL to build robust and scalable scripts and workflows that automate data collection, enrichment, and delivery, maximizing the team's impact. 
  • Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, effectively translating complex Trust and Safety Intelligence needs into clear, actionable requirements for data solutions. 
  • Establish standardized processes and methodologies for data analysis that can be applied across diverse topics, ensuring consistency and efficiency in generating valuable insights. 
  • Work autonomously to identify and solve problems and collaborate effectively within a team to develop comprehensive solutions.
