Retool Application Developer

Retool™ Application Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications on the Retool platform to support various business operations.

• Build dynamic interfaces and workflows by integrating data from APIs, databases, and other third-party services.

Requirement Gathering:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Provide prototypes and proofs of concept for new ideas and features.

Integration and Automation:

• Connect Retool applications with existing data sources such as REST APIs, SQL databases, and other tools.

• Create workflows to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Conduct thorough testing to ensure application functionality, usability, and performance.

• Debug and resolve issues promptly to maintain application reliability.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and system workflows.

• Ensure all development work complies with company standards and best practices.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with IT, business teams, and other developers to ensure seamless integration of Retool solutions with existing systems.

• Provide training and technical support to end-users to ensure application adoption and optimal usage.

Proven experience developing applications using the Retool platform or ability to acquire skills fast.

High proficiency in SQL and familiarity with databases PostgreSQL or MongoDB.

Experience working with APIs (REST, GraphQL) and data integration.

Strong JavaScript skills, including familiarity with React.

Experience with Python for backend integrations and data processing.

Understanding of database views, triggers, and procedures.

Ability to design user-friendly interfaces and optimise for usability.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Solid knowledge of the Git version system.

Must be based in Berlin

Experience in developing internal tools or enterprise applications.

Familiarity with other low-code or no-code platforms.

Exposure to agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Trello.
