Job Description

As a Revenue Operations Analyst at GoTo, you will be responsible for implementing controls, evaluating actions for compliance with the company's revenue recognition accounting process, and performing regular and special analyses. Your role will involve reviewing contracts, order forms, and purchase orders to ensure proper revenue recognition treatment, entering order forms and contract terms into the company's order entry systems, and working with sales and other cross-functional teams on deal structuring. You will also be responsible for resolving escalations and working on special projects as assigned.

  • Minimum 3 years industry experience with exposure to SaaS and or other tech related background
  • Understanding of revenue recognition standards and order to cash process
  • Experienced revenue operations analyst with demonstrated successful experience
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills

Revenue Support Operations at GoTo

Revenue Operations Analyst: Implements controls and evaluates actions required for compliance with the company’s revenue recognition accounting process, including the bookings and billings process. Performs regular and special analysis (such as reviews of organizational quoting practices) to ensure positive revenue quoting, quote review for invoice accuracy and proper revenue recognition. Analyzes third party payments and verifies compliance with contractual terms, fee schedules, or other formal agreements. Completes all required month-end close activities including revenue reconciliation and management reporting. May work with legal, product management, collections, account services/retention, and sales personnel in reviewing revenue contracts to ensure adherence to company policies and resolves any revenue issues. Follows control procedures and interacts with audit or other functions in the approval of product discount pricing, vendor-specific objective evidence studies and significance analysis to ensure compliance with company policy and proper revenue recording.

Your Day to Day

As a Revenue Operations Analyst you would be working on:

  • Reviewing contracts, order forms and purchase orders to assess proper revenue recognition treatment as per GoTo’s internal policies.

  • Entering orders forms and contract terms into the Company's order entry systems, assuring accuracy and according to established departmental SLAs as well as revenue recognition policies.

  • Engaging and supporting sales in their deal structure queries in accordance with Company Policies and revenue recognition standards.

  • Responsible for actively working with sales, legal, revenue, and other cross functional teams on deal structuring and commercial terms for non-standard transactions.

  • Following multi-step processes to resolve escalations, taking ownership of the process from start to finish to ensure accurate execution of sales queries.

  • Working with special projects as assigned as directed by Supervisor, Manager and, or Senior Manager.

What We’re Looking For

As a Revenue Operations Analyst, your background will look like:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ industry experience with exposure to SaaS (Subscriptions) and or other tech related background.

  • Must possess understanding of revenue recognition standards and understand order to cash process.

  • Experienced revenue operations analyst, with demonstrated successful experience of entering contract terms and orders into an internal commerce system(s).

  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills required.

  • Accountability towards financial impact this role entails.

  • Advanced English Skills (Above 80% spoken and written)

  • Scheduled flexibility to accomodate in USA Time zones
