Job Description
This is a full-time internship opportunity for college graduates who have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and have obtained their Engineering Intern (EI) license. You will gain experience in roadway geometry design, pay item quantity calculations, project cost estimation, technical writing, and proficiency in design standards, manuals, and criteria. You will also gain experience using MicroStation or AutoCAD, including civil platforms like OpenRoads Designer and Civil3D. The ideal candidate is motivated, eager to learn, and ready to advance their career with a firm that values their success.
Must have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET Accredited University
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE)
- Engineering Intern (EI) certificate or ability to obtain within 1 year
- Knowledge about CADD Systems
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other Office Products

Description
This is a full time opportunity for college graduates who have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and have obtained their Engineering Intern (EI) license. We will also consider those who are in the process of obtaining their EI License.
Purpose & Need

What You'll Do
- Understand the concepts of geometry design
- Understand the development of pay item quantities and calculations
- Understand the process for development of a project cost estimate
- Effectively research projects and assist with marketing efforts from a roadway point-of-view
- Gain proficiency in technical writing
- Gain proficiency in all design standards, manuals, and criteria
- Gain proficiency in the use of MicroStation or AutoCAD, including civil platforms (such as OpenRoads Designer, Civil3D, etc.)
- Requires moderate technical supervision of tasks by senior staff
- Complete tasks and projects within expectations of Project Manager, Supervisor or Task Lead
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent from an ABET Accredited University, majoring in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 0-4 years of post-graduation experience
- Engineering Intern (EI) certificate or ability to obtain within 1 year
