Activision Blizzard Media seeks a Sales Account Executive to cultivate relationships with agency holding companies (Omnicom, Dentsu, Horizon preferred) and clients. Responsibilities include overseeing existing partnerships, maximizing relationship potential, managing escalations, and communicating requirements to stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses 2+ years of media experience in agency partnerships or direct sales, strong New York/East Coast market relationships, working knowledge of programmatic execution and ad technologies, and proven success exceeding client and revenue expectations. The role requires excellent communication and relationship-building skills and the ability to articulate complex requirements to achieve results.

Reports to: Agency Partnership Lead

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Your Role Within the Kingdom
Activision Blizzard (ABM) is scaling its advertising business, Activision Blizzard Media, an embedded business unit of King - the makers of the #1 mobile game Candy Crush Saga and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard.


ABM is seeking a passionate, innovative, and broad-thinking Sales Account Executive to work on an agency team and help take our mobile media offering to the next level.  


This is an opportunity for you to tell our story in the market and build relationships within the advertising agency holding company landscape in NYC. We’re seeking a Sales Account Executive with previous experience in Media and/or Ad Technology, generating demand for Digital Media Sales.  A focus on Omnicom, Dentsu, and/or Horizon is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and build relationships with strategic investment partners at agency holding companies and clients, focusing on Omnicom, Dentsu, and/or Horizon.

  • Oversee some existing partnerships with support from sales management

  • Ensure mutual success between the customer and Activision Blizzard Media while maximizing the potential of the relationship

  • Manage business and technical escalations and continually communicate requirements to all stakeholders, internal and external


Skills to create thrills:

  • 2+ years of media experience in an ad agency partnership or direct media sales capacity

  • Strong relationships throughout the New York/East Coast market (focus on Omnicom, Dentsu, and/or Horizon preferred, but not required)

  • Working knowledge of programmatic execution and understanding of technology (I.e., Google Ad Manager, video/mobile media products, audience targeting, and the programmatic landscape).

  • Demonstrated experience in sales-focused or partnership role selling through agencies.

  • Ability to articulate complex requirements to achieve results

  • Comfortable building and managing relationships across business stakeholders, internal and external

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with experience working through cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding client and revenue expectations

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $72,720.00 - $134,460.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
