Ookla is a global leader in connectivity intelligence, providing network insights through Speedtest, Downdetector, RootMetrics, and Ekahau. The company is seeking a Sales Account Executive - Enterprise Vertical Hunter with extensive experience in technical sales and a business background to drive customer engagement at the executive level. The role involves identifying, qualifying, and closing new customers, conducting sales activities, demonstrating product offerings, and building relationships with clients' technical and business organizations. Responsibilities include educating clients on product utilization, providing sales support, engaging with senior executives, and partnering with internal teams to identify growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will also champion customer requirements internally and continually develop their knowledge of new technologies.
Must have:

​​The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in technical sales, they will possess a business background that enables them to drive customer engagement at the executive level, and they will have a technical background that enables them to easily communicate the details of our product offerings while interacting with the technical contacts of our customers. This will be an independent contributor role. 

Expectations for Success
  • Hunter Role - need to have extensive experience in identifying, qualifying and closing new customers
  • Responsible for sales activities with new prospects
  • Act as client’s primary point for onboarding new products and services
  • Demonstrate product offerings and value propositions to customers via web or in-person meetings
  • Actively develop and grow relationships across your customer’s business and technical organizations
  • Educate and support our clients to ensure optimum utilization of our product suite
  • Provide sales support to a customer base that consists mostly of seasoned technical, engineers, marketing, legal and or procurement staff.
  • Engage with Director and Senior executives in support of their business needs
  • Partner internally with the technical account management team and sales directors to periodically review account health and identify opportunities for future growth within your accounts
  • Champion and advocate for customer requirements within Ookla by being the customer’s voice internally.
  • Continually develop your own knowledge and application of new technologies to support and enable growth of our customers.

  • Ability to travel domestically to support client engagements
  • Experience in the Telecommunications market (fixed and/or mobile networks, access)
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Sales or Business Development position
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, able to effectively communicate across all levels of internal and client organizations within diverse global markets
  • Strategic account planning and execution skills
  • Experience working in SFDC
  • Responsible, able to manage time effectively and work efficiently, both with and without direct supervision
  • Experience with negotiation of sales contracts with a consultative sales approach
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
